BIDANet Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
BIDANet (the "App") is operated by BIDANet ("we", "us"), based in Meycauayan, Bulacan, Philippines. BIDANet lets utility customers view their bills, payment history and account activity, receive notices from their utility/operator, and pay bills online. We process personal data under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
2. Information we collect
- Account & identity — name/display name, email address, phone number, user ID.
- Utility account — utility account number, service address (block/lot/phase), account holder name.
- Billing & payments — bills (amount due, due date, invoice/SI number) and payment records (amount, date, receipt no.).
- Device & technical — push notification (FCM) token, app instance ID, device/OS info, IP address.
- Usage & diagnostics — in-app events, crash logs, performance data.
We do not collect your payment card details in the App. Online payments are completed through a third-party payment provider; card/e-wallet details are entered with that provider, not stored by us.
3. How we use your information
To provide the App's core features (bills, payments, activity, account linking); send service notifications and operator announcements you have not opted out of; maintain security and prevent fraud; understand usage to improve the App; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers
We share limited data only with providers who process it on our behalf to deliver the service, under contract. We do not sell your personal information.
- Google Firebase — push messaging, analytics, and crash reporting.
- Google Cloud — application hosting.
- Email provider — transactional emails (invitations, verification).
- Payment provider — to process online bill payments you initiate.
- Your utility/operator — to reconcile your account, bills and payments.
We may disclose information where required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Billing and payment records may be retained longer where required for accounting, tax or legal compliance. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We apply access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the risk.
7. Your rights & choices
- Access & correction — view and update your profile in the App, or contact us.
- Notifications — control push notifications in the App's settings and your device settings.
- Deletion — see Account & Data Deletion.
- Under the Data Privacy Act you may object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
8. Children
BIDANet is intended for utility account holders and is not directed to children under 13.
